Track 1 · Beyond Policies: Turning Grievances into Opportunities for Trust

Trust in the workplace is shaped not only by policies, but by how leaders respond when concerns are raised. This session will explore why effective grievance handling matters for organisations seeking to strengthen employee confidence, reinforce accountability and support a fair and progressive workplace culture. Drawing on perspectives from HR, business and organisational leadership, the discussion will consider the role of leadership behaviour, employee voice and workplace systems in building trust. Together, the speakers will share practical reflections on creating workplaces where concerns can be surfaced and addressed constructively, turning challenging situations into opportunities to strengthen trust and working relationships.

Track 2 · Beyond Compliance: Inspiring Trust with WSH Culture

This session is designed for an employer audience and opens with a clear business case for safe workplaces. Through a moderated discussion, SWIA Pte Ltd will show how a strong safety track record helps SMEs secure work, build client confidence, demonstrate reliability and reduce operational disruption. Staff retention and morale will be positioned as important supporting outcomes, not the starting point. With this business case established, the session will then move into the practical workplace behaviours that sustain it, including no-blame reporting, supervisor check-ins, workload conversations and mental well-being support. NTUC SME Partners will bring the ground-up perspective on worker voice and how simple channels can surface safety risks, workload pressures and well-being concerns early. Together, the session will show how safe, healthy and caring workplaces strengthen business continuity, workforce resilience and shared ownership.

Employers today face increasing complexity in managing workplace decisions while balancing regulatory requirements and fair employment practices. SNEF established the Authority, Resource and Consultancy Centre (ARCC) as a one-stop platform to provide employers with practical guidance, advisory support and resources.

This session showcaes how ARCC translates employment requirements into actionable workplace practices. Using wrongful dismissals as examples, the session will highlight key considerations for employers — including establishing clear reasons for dismissal and ensuring proportionate disciplinary action. It will also highlight how practical guidance can reduce the risks of wrongful dismissal claims.
